Join us and become a key member of our team! The Opportunity As a Junior Estimator, you'll play a crucial role in our project planning and success. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship in: Erosion Control BMP (Best Management Practices) Installation: Learn various techniques and materials. Excavation: Understand the scope and requirements of earthwork. Hydroseeding: Master the processes and components of hydroseeding projects. Accurate Cost Estimates: Prepare comprehensive bids for various projects. You'll also gain valuable experience in: Subcontract Analysis: Review and understand subcontract agreements. Vendor Relations: Build relationships with suppliers for competitive pricing and reliable materials. Key Responsibilities (with training) Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for erosion control, excavation, and hydroseeding projects. Review project plans and specifications to identify the scope of work and potential challenges. Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers for bid information. Analyze subcontractor bids and vendor quotes. Maintain accurate records of bids, costs, and project information. Develop a strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes. What We're Looking For A strong desire to learn and grow within the erosion control and construction industry. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
