JOB DESCRIPTION Reports to: Director Requisites: 1. Background check with satisfactory results 2. CPR & First Aid Certified (To be obtained when hired) 3. Gymnastics Coaching Certificate - USA Gymnastics U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction. (To be obtained when hired) DUTIES Program Implementation 1. Directs parents and children in program activities - Gym, Birthday Party, STEAM, etc.. 2. Assures the safety of all program operations. 3. Gives all cues for equipment and music support. 4. Directs the timing of program activities. 5. Delegates during program activities. 6. Recommends the advancement of students. 7. Interacts effectively with parents regarding the progress of their children. Manner 1. Sets the mood! Is excited! Is happy! Has fun!!! 2. Knows parents and children by first name. 3. Acknowledges each and every child and parent during free time. Managerial Duties 1. Assumes some duties of the Director when necessary. 2. Keeps the Director informed of the status of the children, parents, program, staff, activities, supplies, operations, and other significant events. Supervisory Duties 1. Aids the Director in training assistants. 2. Reviews program daily with staff. 3. Assigns daily program duties to assistants. 4. Supervises assistants in their program duties. Administrative Duties 1. Ensures that all class registrations are complete, waitlisted customers have been contacted, and payments are collected from all participants before each class begins. 2. Follows up with customers who are absent and schedules a makeup or suggests an alternative time if it is for a trial customer. 3. Ensures that cleaning duties have been taken care of during class breaks and after evening classes. 4. Ensures that the entire gym area is spotless - looks and smells good. 5. Ensures that all bathroom, diaper, and promotional supplies (brochures) are well stocked. 6. Responsible for the organization of the Equipment Storage rooms DESK DUTY Manner 1. Smiles a lot! Is caring. 2. Acknowledges everyone who comes through the door. 3. Initiates a caring conversation with people who "look like they need help." 4. Effectively sells and promotes all classes, camps, birthday parties, and Special events. 5. Maintains an orderly desk. 6. Maintains an orderly waiting area. Knowledge 1. Knows everything about the Tumbles® Program including: * Age groupings for each class * Names for each class * How we change our program weekly * How we create a positive environment * How many children are in each class * How many coaches are in each class * Why we maintain a non-competitive environment * How we build self-esteem Clerical 1. Answers the phone (or delegates). 2. Returns phone messages (or delegates). 3. Answers information requests or questions (or delegates). 4. Checks in and registers guests and make-ups for classes. 5. Receives and properly records and processes all payments in the CRM. 6. Maintains the inventory of classroom supplies. 7. Maintains the restroom and cleaning supplies. 8. Manages all birthday party supplies. Other 1. Assists in facility maintenance as needed. 2. Assists in program presentation. Cleanliness Ensure that the gym is spotless every day. All staff are equally responsible for this task. Personal Appearance Maintain a professional appearance through proper Tumbles attire and good hygiene.
