We seek a highly skilled manager who has a strong understanding of the various practices and principles of event center operations, fair management, public relations, personnel and financial administration, contract negotiation and administration, and property management practices. Replaces wire, light switches and fuses. • Maintains and performs routine repairs to engines, motors, pumps, generators and related equipment. • Fabricates small parts as necessary. • May operate automotive equipment such as, pickup truck, tractor, chipper and light snow removal equipment. We are willing to provide training for CNV citizens. • A bachelor’s degree in social work, or a related field is preferred, but can be substituted with 2 additional years of relevant experience. • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team. • Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet sometimes competing deadlines while working independently and with others. • Superb verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software. Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
