About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant / Office Manager to manage our day-to-day accounting operations and support general office administration. This is a key role as we transition accounting responsibilities from our offshore team to our Boston headquarters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, a strong understanding of reconciliation and financial reporting, and the ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently in a small-business environment. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) including vendor invoices, payments, and collections. Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations—ensuring all transactions are matched, discrepancies resolved, and accounts tied out accurately. Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, journal postings, and supporting schedules. Generate and deliver monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Provide summary reports with notes on outstanding items, discrepancies, or required follow-up actions. Collaborate with external CPA for tax filings, payroll review, and compliance documentation. Maintain QuickBooks Online in a clean, reconciled, and auditable state at all times. Manage expense reports, reimbursements, and petty cash. Office Administration Handle general office management tasks (supplies, mail, vendor coordination, scheduling). Support HR administration (new hire paperwork, timesheets, benefits coordination). Assist the CEO with vendor contracts, renewals, and internal document organization. Monthly Deliverables For each monthly cycle, the Accountant / Office Manager will provide: ✅ Fully reconciled QuickBooks Online file ✅ PDF exports of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement ✅ Summary of issues found and actions taken ✅ Notes on any outstanding or unreconciled items Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in small business or IT/professional services). Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and monthly closing procedures. Experience with tax filings, reconciliations, and vendor management. Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. Preferred Attributes Experience working in a technology or consulting firm environment. Familiarity with multi-entity or international accounting (India/US reconciliation a plus). Excellent communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external accountants. Compensation
