Arizmendi Bakery is a worker owned and democratically run cooperative in the heart of Oakland that has been open since 1997. We are currently hiring for new worker-owners interested in both working in a fast paced food production environment, and making important decisions on how to run an established business. We are seeking applicants interested in a medium to long term commitment. Experience in restaurant, baking, food production, or similar industries is preferred, as well as involvement with democratically organized groups or cooperatives. If you don't have direct experience with these industries or organizations but have the skills and background to contribute meaningfully to our bakery you are still encouraged to apply!
