Applied Behavior Technician/Supervisor/BCBA
We are actively seeking a highly dedicated and compassionate ABA Technician ABA Supervisor or a BCBA to become a vital member of our local team. The ideal candidate will possess a foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and have experience working with individuals across various age groups who have developmental disabilities. This role involves implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans, data collection on client progress, and proactive collaboration with ABA Humboldt staff to continuously modify and optimize individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
*Implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity and precision, as developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
* Collect accurate and reliable data on client behaviors, skill acquisition, and progress towards individualized goals using established methodologies.
* Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate effectively with BCBAs, other ABA Technicians, ABA Supervisors and relevant stakeholders to contribute to the development and refinement of treatment plans.
* Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in various settings, including in-home, school, and clinic environments, adapting to the unique needs of each client.
*Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment.
*Document session notes thoroughly and professionally, ensuring all relevant information is captured.
*Communicate regularly and effectively with ABA Supervisors and BCBA's regarding client progress, challenges, and any observations.
*Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
*Maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Requirements:
*A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field such as Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a closely allied discipline is required.
*Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is highly preferred. Candidates without RBT certification must demonstrate a strong willingness and commitment to obtain certification within a specified timeframe upon hire, with support and guidance provided by the organization.
*A minimum of one year of supervised experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, and intellectual disabilities and behavioral challenges. Experience across different age groups (e.g., children, adolescents, adults) is a plus.
*Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients, families, and team members.
*Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, contributing positively to group objectives.
*Reliable personal transportation is a strict requirement, as this role necessitates travel to client homes or various community settings.
*Applicants must be able to comfortably and reliably commute up to an hour from their residence to client locations.
*Candidates who are able and willing to travel greater distances for client assignments will be compensated at a higher hourly pay rate and will receive paid drive time, reflecting the expanded geographical flexibility.
*Applicants must pass a criminal background check and live scan, have a current negative TB result, and have record of vaccination to be considered for this position.
