Paid holidays after 90 days, one week paid vacation after one year, medical, Dental and vision offered after one year, also a simple IRA retirement plan. Shop is busy year round with an unlimited amount of hours, We spray PPG waterborne paint so experience in waterbase is a plus. Must have your own tools. Please email a resume or stop on in at 1718 S 18th St. Yakima, WA 98901 Painting • Evaluate bodywork prior to starting refinish efforts • Responsible for preparing the damaged area of the vehicle for painting • Check all parts to ensure that they are correct for the repair assigned; if incorrect, notify the Parts Manager immediately • Responsible for protection of the vehicle from primer and overspray and any removal of overspray as necessary Painting Process • This individual will be responsible for the formulation, preparation, and application of all primers. Knowledge of Waterbase PPG or waterborne a plus. • Responsible for use of all paint-related products according to the manufacturer’s recommended procedures • May be required to paint edges of panels and parts Tools & Environment • Responsible for providing and maintaining own set of hand tools, including air sanders, miscellaneous air tools, spray guns • Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the excellent working conditions of the company EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Experience or equivalent training in automotive prepping/painting. • Skills & Abilities Required o Work independently without close supervision o Flexible/adaptable to constant change o Motivated and organized o Customer focused perspective towards repairs o Analytical, decision making, delegation skills o Works well with others and positive work ethic OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • Physical Requirements o General physical skills (carrying, lifting – 100 lbs, squatting, kneeling, pushing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, pulling extensively) o Repetitive motion Keywords: prep prepper paint painter mask masking sand sander sanding Principals only.
