Returning this fall to Oaks Amusement Park, ScaregroundsPDX will be bringing the scream back to Halloween! Featuring three haunted walkthrough attractions, rides and concessions by Oaks Amusement Park, Buried Alive! Experience and much more! ScareGrounds PDX is the largest and fastest-growing Halloween Event in the Pacific Northwest and has been featured nationally on CBS News, Good Morning America, and The Wall Street Journal. About Vendetta Productions LLC: ScareGrounds PDX is produced by Vendetta Productions LLC, a Portland OR based Production Design & Rental Company that offers a wide variety of specialty services for event, film, television, and exhibit. We utilize a wide variety of skillsets and trades throughout our projects which include: set construction/carpentry, cnc, welding, animatronics, sound, lighting, microelectronics, special effects, scenic painting, set decorating, and more. Can you scream on cue, crawl like a creature, or give guests the chills with just a stare? ScareGrounds PDX — Portland’s largest and most terrifying haunted attraction — is hiring Scare Actors for the 2025 Halloween season! We’re looking for energetic, expressive, and reliable performers to join our cast of monsters, maniacs, and misfits. No acting experience? No problem — if you’re passionate about Halloween and willing to get weird, we’ll train you to terrify. Responsibilities: Portray a variety of characters in haunted houses, scare zones, or roaming roles. Use body language, voice, props, and timing to deliver scares and create an immersive experience. Take direction from attraction leads and managers to maintain consistency and safety. Stay in character while interacting with guests in a safe and professional manner. Wear costumes, masks, makeup, and prosthetics for long periods of time. Maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout long shifts in dark, foggy, or loud environments. Follow all safety protocols for both performers and guests. Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old (parental consent required for minors). Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts without excessive absences. Comfortable working in low-light, foggy, or high-intensity settings. Able to stand, crouch, crawl, or perform physical movement for extended periods. Willingness to wear makeup, masks, and costumes (sometimes in warm conditions). Available to work evenings, weekends, and Halloween night (September–early November). What We Offer: Paid training and rehearsal time. A fun, supportive, and creative work environment. Overview Velocity Taekwondo Office Manager duties include handling tours, answering information requests, enrollment of new students along with basic social media management and event scheduling. Velocity runs classes Monday through Saturday for all ages. We teach Kukkiwon style Taekwondo and specialize in competition. Velocity has a long history of success in Taekwondo with athletes competing worldwide, and international training events hosted in gym several times a year. Responsibilities and Duties Manage student registration software and onboarding programs. Giving tours, signing up students, receiving electronic payments etc. Manage Velocity social media accounts: post pictures and shorts, update students on events and awards. Fostering discipline and respect within the gym. Demonstrate the tenets of taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, indomitable spirit. Supervising students to ensure that interactions remain safe at all times. Organizing events such as testing, workshops, camps, and tournaments. Ensuring all athlete and coaches travel, hotel and registration is in order. Keep the office and viewing areas organized. Gently correcting students, parents and guests about gym rules and etiquette. Equipment/uniform inventory and sales. Uniform Requirements Taekwondo pants, Velocity shirt or sweat shirt, clean indoor shoes. Qualifications High school diploma or higher. CPR / First-aid Certification (will assist with obtaining but must be kept current) Ability to use student sign up & billing systems. Ability to use most social media platforms. Ability to learn basic curriculum points, and be able to explain our belt system, history and class structure. Interest in Taekwondo and Martial arts. Clear Safe Sport background check. Reports To Velocity Instructors and staff report to the Staffing Director, Velocity Owners (Danielle Pelham, David Pelham) Hours & Pay Overview Average hours: 24hrs wk/ 96hrs a month (3:30pm-7:30pm mon-Fri, Sat 10am-2pm) Starting pay: $20 an hour.
