About the Position We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in our Sacramento office. Our main fields of practice include defending personal injury claims in the areas of medical malpractice, ski accidents, car accidents and other personal injury claims in both California and Nevada. We also defend health care providers in actions taken against them by their professional licensing boards. This position will involve handling all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, court appearances, taking/defending of depositions, trial preparation, and trial work. Responsibilities • Strong working knowledge of civil procedure and evidence. • Experience drafting pleadings, discovery (both requests and responses), motions, settlement demands, and mediation briefs. • Experience working with clients directly. • Ability to independently identify issues and to litigate strategically. • Strong legal and factual investigation skills. • Excellent written and oral communication. • Admitted to practice in the state of California. • Eager to track billable time. • Experience in summarizing discovery and medical records Qualifications - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and four-year college degree. - Admission to the California state bar and in good standing. - Strong litigation skills and experience in handling complex legal cases. - Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of clients. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. - Commitment to ethical and professional standards. Benefits - Base Salary $110,000 to $160,000 depending on experience. Hours are 9am-5:30pm (40-hour week) Pay range is $23-$26 hourly
