We’re a Los Angeles-based IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a skilled and reliable Mac IT Support Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. You’ll support one of our fast-paced, fully Mac-based production clients and play a key role in providing day-to-day technical assistance in a hybrid remote and onsite capacity. This position begins with a short-term contract (30–60 days) with the goal of transitioning into a part-time W-2 employee role if the fit is right. You’ll work approximately 20 hours per week, primarily remote, with possible weekly visits to the client’s metro Los Angeles location. In this role you’ll be supporting creative professionals and production staff with day-day business operations related to IT, as well as troubleshooting and resolving Mac-related IT issues to help maintain a reliable, high-performance environment. Responsibilities Include: - Provide daily end-user support for macOS systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting - Install, update, and configure applications and system preferences - Support user access, device enrollment, and app deployments via MDM (Mosyle) - Troubleshoot local network issues, printer problems, and connectivity disruptions - Support video editors and designers using Apple hardware and Adobe software - Escalate complex or systemic issues to senior engineers as needed - Set up and configure new Mac systems via Mac MDM (Mosyle, JAMF) - Assist with onboarding and walkthroughs of new hires and contractors - Perform occasional onsite visits for physical tasks related to troubleshooting or new user setup Preferred Skills & Experience: - Strong, in-depth knowledge of macOS settings, hardware, and device management - Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, IP configurations) - Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts like least privilege and endpoint security - Familiarity with creative workflows and software, including Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro - Comfortable supporting users across platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Airtable Requirements: - 1+ years experience in a Mac-focused IT support role or a B.S. in a related field - Experience supporting creative or production teams is a plus - Familiarity with MDM tools like Mosyle - Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills - Based in the Los Angeles area with reliable transportation for onsite visits
