JOB DESCRIPTION – Mechanical Engineer / Draftsman Job Purpose This role functions as a member of the engineering team, operating under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, and CEO at Rogue Truck, LLC. The primary responsibility of this position involves the design and engineering of all components associated with the fabrication and installation of Rogue Truck boxes and trailers. It is also responsible for maintaining and improving the design and manufacturing processes of truck boxes and trailers. (NOTE Must be willing to relocate to Southern Oregon. / Not a Remote Position all work is accomplished in house) Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems, components, and processes to meet manufacturing requirements and industry standards. • Create 3D models and 2D drawings of new and existing parts using Solidworks. • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, etc. • Collaborate with other teams to provide necessary information critical to the ERP system. • Provide technical support for fabrication. • Review and approve new and modified specifications to ensure standards are met. • Utilize provided machine software to generate CNC paths for the in-house plasma cutter. Other Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical systems, identifying and resolving any issues or defects. • Assist with quality control to ensure process and equipment can produce product that meets quality and engineering standards. • Provide technical support for the manufacturing floor, offering expertise and guidance when needed. • Collaborate with other teams to optimize designs and streamline processes. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills, and abilities Proficiency in Solidworks and Solidworks PDM workflows. AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc. Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 1 year experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
