We are a high-end architectural lighting company located in Allapattah just a few minutes from MIA. We are looking for a reliable and competent person that knows Autocad Drafting with experience. The candidate must also know Photoshop, Excel, Powerpoint, Word. 3D Modeling a huge plus. Must know how to create architectural renderings. You must be self-motivated and actively be working on getting tasks done, we shouldn't be on top of you to finish things. You will be encountering different types of situations in our office and on the field. You must solve them in an efficient, professional and timely manner. You must be flexible as we are a small team. Aside from your main tasks, you will be helping with whatever needs to be done in the office, warehouse or on the field. For example, we may need to fix items in the office, rearrange inventory and assemble/move shelving, etc. There may be a day where you will need to stay later, but this is rarely the case. You must be a positive person with good people skills as you will be dealing with clients of all types. You must always treat our clients with the utmost respect and professionalism. You must be punctual and presentable in a business setting. Attitude, lack professionalism, tardiness, etc. will not be tolerated. We are a small team, but we get along very well, we have a family atmosphere at the office. There is no office drama or politics here and we plan to keep it that way. We just ask that you do your job well. This job post is for a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM. You must be punctual. Work Responsibilities ● The BIM & VDC Coordination Engineer is expected to provide coordination skills in support of the creation of detailed and accurate BIM models. ● This position will set the course for the digital delivery, coordination and collaboration of project teams within a large and fast-moving project. This includes working with peers, consultants, discipline leads and executive management through the numerous efforts within the master project(s). ● Introduce, support, and oversee the implementation of industry leading BIM technology. ● The ideal candidate will be responsible for proper setup, maintenance and review of design efforts. This may involve 8-10 (or more) design and engineering disciplines that are located both on and off premises. ● This person will be directly responsible for the coordination of the design produced by the Engineering Team, Trade Contractors, and other third-party vendors under their direction. ● This person will work with engineers, trades, and design professionals to develop an integrated model delivery approach and lead clash detection sessions with a focus on optimizing the construction process and driving quality and value. ● The ideal candidate will identify conflicts with Architectural, Structural and other MEP design elements. ● Scope of responsibility will include overall accuracy & completeness of the models, physical & operational spatial coordination, and timely implementation and resolution of any issues according to an aggressive schedule. Qualifications ● Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience. ● 2-3+ years of hands-on experience working within a coordination specialty or in construction of residential projects. ● Proven expertise in using, and supporting users in Autodesk Revit, BIM360 Docs, Autodesk Navisworks and various reality capture applications. ● Proficiency in AutoCAD, IFC, Solibri, data interoperability and general awareness of other BIM and parametric design applications. ● Experience with scripting and/or visual programming automation tools (Dynamo and Python). ● Experience interfacing with Project Controls Teams (construction, scheduling, asset acquisition and cost control) regarding quantity takeoffs, including alignment between Work Breakdown Structure, cost tracking, data entry, value tracking and the associated BIM parameters.
