Well-established civil engineering and land surveying firm is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor / Project Manager. Must be a California-licensed PLS, or LSIT with intent to take the LS exam within the next year. Must have good communications, documentation, and quality control skills. You will be directing field and office staff at all levels on transportation and educational projects throughout California. Survey work is primarily on planning and design phases of projects and will involve topographic surveys, boundary and right of way surveys, right of way engineering documents, and control networks and reports. About the role: We are refreshing and expanding Street View coverage for selected cities. You will be responsible for operating 360° camera equipment mounted on a vehicle, capturing data, and uploading processed imagery to Google Street View at scale. Work Responsibilities ● The BIM & VDC Coordination Engineer is expected to provide coordination skills in support of the creation of detailed and accurate BIM models. ● This position will set the course for the digital delivery, coordination and collaboration of project teams within a large and fast-moving project. This includes working with peers, consultants, discipline leads and executive management through the numerous efforts within the master project(s). ● Introduce, support, and oversee the implementation of industry leading BIM technology. ● The ideal candidate will be responsible for proper setup, maintenance and review of design efforts. Qualifications ● Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience. ● 2-3+ years of hands-on experience working within a coordination specialty or in construction of residential projects. ● Proven expertise in using, and supporting users in Autodesk Revit, BIM360 Docs, Autodesk Navisworks and various reality capture applications. ● Proficiency in AutoCAD, IFC, Solibri, data interoperability and general awareness of other BIM and parametric design applications. ● Experience with scripting and/or visual programming automation tools (Dynamo and Python). ● Experience interfacing with Project Controls Teams (construction, scheduling, asset acquisition and cost control) regarding quantity takeoffs, including alignment between Work Breakdown Structure, cost tracking, data entry, value tracking and the associated BIM parameters.
