A&S Engineers is a full-service Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering firm with locations in San Francisco and Walnut Creek, California. We are looking for a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our Walnut Creek office. The person in this position will be responsible for producing construction documents including floor plans, equipment schedules and specifications, managing client expectations throughout the entire life of the project, so they meet the Firm's design and technical standards. This role has regular client interface, including coordinating with utility companies, presentation of project designs and oversight of the construction phase. Design and engineering responsibilities include power distribution systems, grounding, lighting protection, and lighting controls, mostly for commercial buildings. Qualifications • Five years’ experience in the design and documentation of projects. • DSA and HCAI (old OSHPD) experience is a plus. • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is a plus. • Energetic and enthusiastic and adapts to fast-paced environment. • LEED AP is a plus. • California PE registration is a plus. Geophysicist (Snohomish)

In Situ Engineering, located in rural Snohomish County near the City of Snohomish is looking for a geophyicist to join our firm. The selected individual would be primarily engaged in wireline logging or testing of drill holes on geotechnical projects. We currently primarily perform P-S, acoustic and optical televiewer, caliper logging and pressuremeter testing. We also perform other geophysical and geotechnical tests including cone penetrometer and vane shear. Project locations are commonly at various locations in the United States although In Situ Engineering has historically worked in many countries. A bachelors degree in geophysics is preferred but any earth science degree with geophysics courses or relevant field experience will be considered. We envision the individual to handle projects from initial inquiry to final report. This would include preparing fee proposals, scheduling, advising the client about procedures and methods, arranging shipping and travel, any field maintenance of instruments, performing the work, and data report writing. All of our employees perform shop maintenance and fabrication tasks. Excellent telephone and electronic communication skills are required. The individual will be required to move and lift heavy instrumentation at times and work on uneven terrain. It is expected that the geophysicist would also participate in business development including speaking in front of other professionals. The individual must be a US Citizen, have no criminal record, a clean driving record, pass a drug screening test, have in possession or the ability to get a USA passport, and pass any security and drug screening requirements to work on secure corporate, government or US military sites.
