Two large jobs are scheduled for July 6–20 in Seattle and Tukwila, and I need someone ready to hit the ground running. 8-12 hour days 6 days per week on this project, one day off between. The Broadway Wine Merchants is the longest standing wine bar in Eugene, Oregon. We have been located in the Oakway Center for 14 years and have been fortunate enough to become a gathering place for many in the community. Our wine bar and café are ideal for spending some quality downtime with your friends, exploring a variety of gourmet wine and food pairings. Our menu includes an alternating selection of beer, cider, and bistro foods intentionally selected to complement our wines. Currently managed and staffed by a small team, we are seeking to hire a talented and enthusiastic person to join our wine bar staff as a server. This position will often represent the first impression we make on our customers and is therefore very important for our brand. As a primary focus, this person will work with the rest of the Broadway staff to provide our customers a welcoming, educational, and memorable experience. This will include educating them on wines we pour by the glass, the food we offer, communicating upcoming events, club memberships, etc – all while providing warm and friendly service. Wine bar roles include hosting, serving, bussing, selling wine, bartending and dishwashing are all shared and rotated among staff and throughout shifts.
