✓ Juice Press - K&K Stainless with 10" pan – about 150 pounds – $10,000 ➔ Cylinder in press - Enerpac RC106NV 10 ton 6 inch Stroke, Extreme Environment Nickel-plated ✓ Hydraulic Pump - Enerpac ZE3308SB with 173 hours of use – about 150 pounds – $7,000 ➔ 2 Hydraulic hoses - Enerpac, about 40 feet ✓ Grinder - K&K 2-hp Stainless – about 40 pounds – $2,000 ➔ Includes a maple-wood pusher, too! ✓ Filtration Fabric - about 400 square feet of Nylon fabric, rated for 20,000 pounds+ This press was custom built by K&K, and upgraded several times by a local machine shop. The Enerpac pump was purchased new, and always located in a climate-controlled environment. The pump costs $10,000 new at Grainger, and a certain machine shop said that the press has a replacement-cost of at least $35,000. The Enerpac cylinder cost over $1000; and the 2-hp grinder is somewhat priceless since it can no longer be purchased, having been a limited production offering from K&K. Obtaining this equipment was a 20 year journey for me, and I enjoyed the 176 hours of use that it provided. The "cutter" on the grinder has just been sharpened. Likewise, the seals on the cylinder were replaced a few months ago. The press produces 20,000 pounds of force, and can hold this load without compromise for as long as you want. During the 176 hours of use, I usually squeeze juice at 20,000 pounds, and held it for about 25 minutes. The improvements to the press that have been made over the years – by K&K, and by a local machine shop – have proved successful. The pump includes about 40 feet of hydraulic hose, and likewise about 40 feet of electrical wiring so that its remote-control device can be used from very distant locations. This provides absolute silence when using the press.
