Position Title: Home Delivery Assistant (Newspaper Delivery) Status: Full-time (35+ hours weekly) Starting Compensation: $18.54/hr. + 62 1/2 cents per mile + $500 bonus after 90 days of employment Hours: Must be available Sunday - Friday, approximately 12 am - 8 am (35+ hours/week). Off 2 days Per Week, Saturday and either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. About this role: This position serves to assist with newspaper delivery, complaints, and customer service supporting distribution centers and district managers. What you'll do: Deliver newspaper routes when contractors are unavailable using a personal vehicle. Prepare and submit weekly log of hours and mileage. Assist with the delivery of special products. Assist District Manager with customer and/or carrier calls as well as daily office tasks. Other duties as assigned. What you'll contribute to our team: Be at least 18 years of age. Have a valid driver's license, personal reliable vehicle, and proof of car insurance. Ability to read a street map/GPS. Problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills. Be willing to work in all weather conditions. Work without direct supervision. Be physically able to deliver newspapers to customers door. POSITION PURPOSE The Warehouse Driver delivers products by driving motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight on public roads. This position also performs warehouse work that involves moving, loading, and unloading materials around the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift.
