These rooms are available to rent October 27th through February 1st. It is a 3 month fixed term lease. I own a 2700 sqft house in Brentwood with 5br and 5ba (T-hole for every B-hole!). Looking to fill 2 rooms starting October 27th for $550/mo plus equal split of electricity, water, garbage, and gigabit internet. The front entrance to the house has two steps. Dogs will be considered on a case by case basis, no cats or most other pets (reptiles fine). The house is located in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood near Flavel park and is a few blocks from the bus (lines 19, 71 and 72) and Green MAX line that take less than an hour to get to downtown. Traffic is light as we live on a cul de sac. Nearby is Mt. Scott park, FoPo, bike paths including the springwater corridor, tons of shops, food carts, bars, and grocery stores. House Layout: 2nd floor: Hardwood floors, 2 available bedrooms, 1 master bedroom with 3/4 bath, heat pumps in all rooms, shared full bathroom with two sinks, storage closets, and attic storage space. 1st floor: Living room, dining room with built-in cabinets, kitchen w/dishwasher, 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms (one with bath, one with shower), hardwood floors, washer/dryer, 2 fridges, and breakfast nook. Kitchen has an electric stove. Basement: Finished, 1 bedroom with private half bath, second kitchen, large game/hangout room with extra bed, built in shelves, and wood stove. Rent and Available Space Details: Rent is $550/mo and $200 security deposit, pet deposit of $200 per pet. Renter’s insurance is required as well, which runs $5-10 a month for most people. Parking is plentiful, including two driveway spots. The two rooms currently available are located on the second floor, one with a North-facing window the other room with two west facing windows, approximately 10'x13' each and a shared bathroom. There is a shower on the ground floor by the laundry area and two other shared toilets. All that is required is to stay in good standing with others in the house (communication skills, effort, and empathy required) and do your fair share of chores/yard work. The House Situation: I own the place but I am moving out of the country in February when it will be handed over to a property management situation so that is why it's on a fixed term lease. All utilities and shared house expenses (i.e. dish soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies) are tracked with splitwise, so if you don't have it we'll get you going on that. What we're looking for: There are a ton of perks to living here, like the automatic espresso machine, but stepping up on chores is something that will be essential to success in our space. If you're not willing to put in the work, or struggle to consistently clean up after yourself, apply elsewhere. People who are open minded, inclusive, and respectful are required. Looking to find another person who values compassionate communication, respect for others like they expect for themselves, willingness to own up to their faults/mistakes, to calmly communicate boundaries, not quick to judge, not quick to accuse, assumes the best intentions from their roommates and has the best of intentions when communicating with their roommates. You should enjoy contributing to your share of responsibilities in the house, because none of us can afford the back-brace needed to carry the team on their own, plus we want to be proud of where we live.
