Job Summary The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems. This role ensures buildings remain safe, functional, and presentable while managing a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff. General Maintenance Tasks Painting & Surface Care Touch-up painting in high-traffic areas (hallways, stairwells, classrooms, offices), including drywall repair, and caulking Full repainting of walls, doors, trims, and exterior surfaces as needed. Graffiti removal and repainting. Caulking around windows, sinks, and tubs to prevent leaks. Minor Repairs Fixing door handles, locks, hinges, and closers. Repairing drywall holes, scratches, or dents. Replacing ceiling tiles, light diffusers, and floor tiles. Patching concrete or asphalt cracks (walkways, curbs). Repairing furniture (desks, chairs, shelving). Plumbing Unclogging toilets, sinks, and floor drains. Fixing leaky faucets and toilets. Electrical Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and LED fixtures.
