Manage and provide direct supervision to the Club's staff, including Lead Coordinator, Program Coordinators, and Front Desk staff. Provide supervision and guidance to volunteers in the manner outlined by the organization. Strategic Planning and Goal Management: Create and execute an annual Club plan, in collaboration with senior leadership, to meet the needs of the community and the organization. Manage the Club’s budget and ensure all data and strategic goals are met. Community and Partnership Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for the Club within the community. Build and maintain strong partnerships with local leaders, community organizations, schools, and families in the North/Northeast Portland community. Regularly meet with local community leaders to drive forward organization initiatives and provide responsive leadership to the community and Club team (including schools, businesses, government entities, and partners), in partnership with the Senior Director and VP of Programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for families and community members, ensuring a responsive and welcoming environment. Represent BGCP within the community, acting as a role model for the organizational mission and values. Staff and Program Development: Foster a safe, collaborative, and accountable work environment, in partnership with Senior Directors, through weekly staff meetings, individual check-ins, professional development, and staff training. Ensure all program-based requirements are met. Administrative and Safety Oversight: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, organizational policies, and procedures. Create a safe and functional environment in partnership with the VP of Operations and Facilities Team. Oversee the collection of member data and family payments, completing necessary reports in a timely manner. Organizational Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Marketing & Development team to meet broader organizational goals and facilitate a diverse portfolio of media and recognition opportunities. Manage large-scale collaborative initiatives and events within the Club. Work collaboratively with all Clubs and departments within the organization to meet BGCP goals. Position Requirements: Possess proven leadership skills to mentor and inspire staff to achieve personal and professional goals, and apply sound, creative problem-solving techniques. Be an inclusive leader with a strong commitment to equity. Show proven skills in responsible, effective administrative duties management. Demonstrate the ability to implement and manage systems, processes, and procedures. Possess experience with or understanding of the communities in which BGCP operates and the specific barriers and challenges faced within the North/Northeast Portland community. Exhibit demonstrated cultural competencies and proficiency by effectively communicating and collaborating with people from various cultural backgrounds, ethnic groups, and races. Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, including community leaders, families, and partner organizations. Hold a four-year degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, OR have equivalent professional and lived experience. Possess a minimum of three years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people Demonstrated experience working and/or living within the North/Northeast Portland community. A proven track record of successfully building and managing partnerships with community-based organizations. Deep understanding of the specific strengths, needs, and cultural dynamics of the North/Northeast Portland community.
