Description: Direct Support Professionals (DSP) support people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. DSPs provide the supports people need to live self-directed lives, including caregiver supports like food prep, personal care, and following support plans. In this position, you support someone to go out and have fun, maintain their home, plan meals, cook, follow personal health routines, and achieve their dreams! We are looking for a part time caregiver for my dad. He is a paraplegic gentleman. He uses a hoyer lift for transferring. Duties include light housekeeping, hygiene, laundry, cooking, taking him to appointments and running errands (in his handicap van) as well as companionship. He also has a little dog who is very friendly and requires very little. Must like dogs. We have Saturday and Sunday, night shifts available (7:30 pm-11:30 pm) We may have more open up in the future.
