Position Overview: We are looking for a talented and adaptable Pastry Chef to join our catering team. This role is responsible for creating high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods that not only taste exceptional but also transport well and present beautifully at events. The ideal candidate brings both creativity and precision, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to contribute across different areas of the kitchen to ensure the overall success of our events. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and execute a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods suitable for catered events. Develop recipes that balance innovation, cost-effectiveness, and transportability for off-site service. Decorate and present pastries and desserts with an emphasis on elegance, consistency, and event-ready appeal. Ideally also capable of decorative cheese boards, fruit displays etc. Collaborate with chefs and event managers to design menus that complement catering offerings. Assist with broader kitchen operations when needed, including prep, plating, packing, and organization for events. Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to meet company standards. Maintain food safety, sanitation, and organizational standards in all pastry and kitchen areas. Train and support junior staff or assistants, fostering teamwork and efficiency.
