The Brooklyn Firefly is a locally loved restaurant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, known for our artisanal pizzas, cocktails and community atmosphere. We serve high-quality, handcrafted food in a lively setting that blends culinary excellence with a neighborhood vibe. We're currently seeking an experienced and passionate Pizza Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepare and cook pizzas using fresh, house-made dough and quality ingredients - Operate and maintain pizza ovens (deck-style) - Hand-stretch dough, apply toppings and bake pizzas - Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and kitchen organization - Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen - Communicate effectively with front and back-of-house staff QUALIFICATIONS: - 2+ years of experience in a pizza chef or line cook role (pizza-focused) - Skilled in dough handling, oven operation and pizza preparation techniques - Knowledge of New York-style pizza required - Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure - Positive attitude and strong work ethic BENEFITS: - Competitive hourly pay based on experience - Employee meals and staff discounts - Supportive, team-oriented work environment Job Type:
