Job Summary: This role is on-site and responsible for supporting the organization’s computer systems, hardware and software and helping end users with technical issues submitted through the help desk. Duties and responsibilities: • Installs, configures, upgrades, and troubleshoots problems related to hardware, software, phones, and other equipment (e.g., printers) and systems. . Install and configure Digital Watchdog security systems • Troubleshoots Level 1 problems related to any aspect of network/telecommunications systems and PC’s. • Diagnose, tracks, resolves, and documents problems and resolutions. • Onboards new employees, issues equipment, and assists with workstation set-ups. Provisions system access and sets permission for employees based on department and position. • Supports end user training related to spam filtering. • Offboards employees; retrieves equipment, removes licenses and access from IT systems and business applications upon separation. • Uses internal and external knowledge bases and resources to research issues independently, escalate issues outside the technician’s level of knowledge and experience (including most server and networking issues, as appropriate) • Advises, trains, and assists users on how best to utilize systems. • Coordinates with outside IT consultants regarding systems and issues needing resolution. Qualifications: . Knowledge of Digital Watchdog security systems • Knowledge of iOS, Apple iPads, Square software and POS networks. • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 systems, Microsoft 365, email, and printers. • Ability to provide quality customer service and teamwork while managing multiple tasks and projects under competing deadlines. • Strong senses of discretion, urgency and confidentiality. • Knowledge of iOS, Apple iPads, Square software and POS networks. • Ability to monitor and edit website, as needed. • A knowledge of security systems, with substantial number of IP cameras and related network is a plus. • May be required to assist in the evening and/or weekends and travel occasionally. In this role, you will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of reliable, high-performance network solutions. Your technical expertise will directly influence product development and roadmaps, helping to drive innovation and ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of mission-critical defense programs.  Key Responsibilities:  Design, configure, and implement network and switching solutions in mission-critical defense systems.  Evaluate and integrate commercial and custom switch/router hardware into secure system architectures.  Own roadmaps for our commercial switch products, taking in requirements from multiple stakeholders in the organization.  Drive development of our switch products to a production schedule, working with the engineering team to overcome obstacles, make implementation trade-offs, and provide technical direction.  Develop and document system architectures, network diagrams, and data flows.  Support lab and field testing, including test plan development and execution.  Analyze performance and reliability metrics, recommending enhancements where needed.  Interface with customers and stakeholders for technical discussions, design reviews, and requirement clarifications.  Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.  Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing custom embedded switch products. Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, etc.).  Experience with network configuration tools, packet analyzers, and diagnostic equipment.  Understanding of DoD systems, requirements, and acquisition lifecycle.  U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a [Secret/Top Secret] security clearance.  Preferred Qualifications:  5+ years of experience in systems or network engineering, ideally in a defense or aerospace environment.  Experience with VICTORY or CMOSS standards.  Experience developing custom switch hardware solutions.  Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time environments.  Prior work on ground vehicles, avionics, or tactical systems.  Experience supporting RMF/IA activities for networked systems.  Hands-on experience with enterprise and embedded switches/routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Curtiss-Wright, VICTORY standards).  Benefits Pacific Defense provides competitive salaries and immediately vested 401K match. Installer positions available for working either as a full-time employees or by the hour, during normal working hours for ongoing projects we are involved in. AV Engineers should have hands on experience running AV cable, terminating connectors, mounting TV's and Projectors, installing speakers, mics, amps, mixers, control systems, programming, etc.. LV Installers: Experience with cabling projects for Cat6, fiber, coax cable required. Experience running and terminating Cat6 cable a requirement. Experience with punching down patch panels, jacks and testing also required. Should be able to operate a Hilti Gun for j-hooks and bundle consolidation and use a Fluke Tester.
