Please help in my efforts to try and find a home for this lovely boy. His name is Tucker, and he is just shy of a year old. He is a mix of German Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Boxer, and Jack Russell Terrier. He is such a sweet and shy little guy, and once he warms up to you, you will have a best friend for life. Despite everything I have done to train him throughout his puppyhood, his prey drive is just far too strong for him to remain in my household. He absolutely cannot live with cats or any small animals, but he gets along splendidly with dogs his own size and larger and loves people once he knows them. Tucker will require a fenced in yard, and will need to go to a veterinarian to be neutered and to address his weight gain needs. He is heavy to pick up at approximately 30-40 lbs. However, he really needs to fill out. I believe neutering him will help both behaviorally and metabolically. I have tried every rehoming website, Facebook, local rescue, and even the local Humane Society. The only other option I have is to take him to Southwest Humane Society in Vancouver to be euthanized. I really do not want him destroyed, as I know he has a lot of love to give, and he is not an out of control dog that has no other prospects. He just needs an experienced trainer and to not live with small animals. Truth be told, with proper training, he would be an excellent hunting companion. I even have a generous offer from Valhalla Rescue in Winlock, WA, where they will supply two free training sessions for Tucker's new home! Please reach out if you think you can save Tucker's life. Both he and I would be eternally grateful. Located in Castle Rock, WA.
