We are currently searching for an HVAC Air Duct Cleaning Technician Apprentice: Qualifications include: - Experience with manual labor/comfortable in commercial areas - Ability/willingness to climb ladders, work with equipment and assist the lead technician as required - Willingness to learn from the senior technician with the goal of being promoted to a senior technician capable of running you own crew and training others - Some jobs must be completed overnight, but these are worked on a 4/10 schedule (M-Th w/ Friday off) - Willing to study for and pass required certifications over time (this is not required to commence work) - Ability to pass a background check - Valid driver's license - This is a regular, 40 hour week position, paid on a W2 with and gas and travel time to jobs reimbursed (you will generally ride to the jobs in a company van, but must be able to make it to the office.) - Health, Dental & Vision after 60 days - 401K We offer competitive pay, and offer multiple career tracks for those looking to move into more senior roles over time. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Completion of all types of work orders from residents. • Completion of all resident apartment turn over tasks. • Must be able available to complete “On-call” duties. • Some administrative duties may be included such as opening, tracking and closing work orders. • Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team. • Attending monthly safety meetings. • Complete preventative maintenance activities. • Full knowledge of property’s emergency procedures. • Maintain all records required by company policies and procedures, OSHA and EPA. • Perform all required duties in a professional and confidential manner. Maintenance technician positions require that an individual be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis and the ability to stand and/or walk all day. In addition, occasional heavy lifting may be required. Duties of this position may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor. Alternating on-call shifts required. Must live within 30mins of Newport, RI for on-call. Valid driver’s license and own transportation required. $150 premium paid for all week’s that you are on-call, additionally you are paid a time and a half rate for any emergency calls plus travel time.
