Laboratory Field Technician (Waretown NJ)

I am looking for a general laborer to install temporary walls for an art show located in South End. This is not a complicated job, but you need endurance and steel toe boots. If you can paint well, that will be considered a bonus. Dates are 20th and 21st of October (Monday and Tuesday). It will be a 12h work day and the pay is $250 per day. If we go overtime, the pay will additional $25/h for each additional hour. There will be an opportunity to do demo a week later, but that will be determined on your first 2 days. Principal Responsibilities Attend, clean, guard or patrol an assigned area or public building, property, structures and/or gates in or adjoining the zoological park to keep order and cleanliness. Assist in allocation of work assignments. May inventory, order, pick-up and allocate supplies. Protect society property by properly securing and locking various buildings, stations or gates. Perform ground maintenance work including helping with landscaping, gardening, etc. Offer aid, help and directions and information to the public. Perform custodial duties where required. Assist in the cleaning of areas other than those assigned as conditions may require. Enforce the Society's visitor rules and regulations and those of the Department of Parks of the City of New York. Perform related tasks and duties as required. Qualification Requirements Ability to represent WCS in a professional manner and to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with employees, colleagues, City and other government agencies, outside contractors, and the general public. Valid Driver’s License (preferred) High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) Physical Requirements The position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions. Tasks require manual dexterity and ability to safely use tools (e.g. drill, wire cutters, computer keyboard) and operate equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaners, pressure washer and related custodial equipment). Some tasks require climbing, kneeling, bending, navigating uneven terrain, and moderate lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, evenings and special events as the schedule demands.
