 As Porter, you will report to the Managers and work with a team of real estate professionals. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: -Maintaining cleanliness and organization in or around buildings managed by the Management Company, which include, but is not limited to the following areas: individual units, all common areas, floors, walls, bathrooms, toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, windows, doors, stairs, stairwells, units, fire escapes, sidewalks, stoops, entranceways, exterior, courtyards, lobby, mechanical rooms, storage areas, closets, elevator; -Cleaning, moving, replacing and/or assembling items in and around residential buildings, including, but not limited to mattresses and bedding, fixtures, furniture, appliances; -Carrying and moving heavy items as needed; -Cleaning up after any work performed; -Snow shoveling to clear sidewalks, walkways, stairs and building exterior of snow; -Painting; -Trash removal; -Checking systems for functionality, including, but not limited to, HVAC, fire alarm, electrical panels, drains and drainage, hot water heaters, boilers, security system, alarm system, sprinklers; -Covering for security guard at the front desk as needed to: check resident identification, require residents or visitors to sign in, buzz in residents after checking identification, and monitor security cameras; -Taking photographs of completed work and repairs; -Completing cleaning logs, work tickets, and other documentation required by the Managers; -Communicating with residents and management effectively; -Completing paperwork as needed; -Additional cleaning and maintenance as needed; and -Assist with other related and relevant tasks as assigned and needed. 5+ Years of experience as a Porter at residential buildings. This position requires various types of manual labor and from time to time will require standing for long periods of time, as well as crouching and climbing stairs and ladders to perform work, and pushing, lifting, and pulling heavy objects that occasionally may be up to approximately 75 pounds. At other times, this position requires completing paperwork.
