The only score that matters is your exam score. The Florida Security Class D Exam This Exam is also done online on the same website. On your Home Screen you will see “Exams” on the tabs at the top of your profile. When ready to take the exam, you will go there and click on the “Florida state exam” link. The exam has 170 questions. You will need a 70% or higher to pass. That means you only need 100/ 170 correct answers to pass. You're given two hours to take the exam which is plenty of time. Don’t stress about the exam you will pass. I will send you a copy of the questions you will be asked on the exam. You can also use notes. This will be done after you complete the 40 hours of training, but if you want you may go in and take the exam to practice if you can do so one time. I don’t have to be online for that so you can go in on your own to take it. Once you start the exam you must finish it. It will not save your progress unless you complete the exam. If you do not finish it, you will have to start all over again. When you complete your 40 hours (all 23 lessons) and pass the exam you will be issued a certificate of completion. Once you have this you may apply for the class D license. Please be aware: I do not take applications, and I don’t not issue licenses. You must apply with the Florida department of agriculture and consumer services licensing division. The $120 payment for the class does not go to your licensing fees with the department and is nonrefundable. You will have to pay $45 application fee, $44 fingerprint processing fee and $10.75 fingerprint retention fee for a total of $97.75 fees due at the time of submitting your application paid by money order or check to the department of agriculture.
