We're seeking an experienced Landscape Spray Technician to join us immediately. The Opportunity: As our Full-Time Landscape Spray Technician, you will be crucial in maintaining the health and beauty of our commercial landscapes through the expert and independent application of herbicides. This role requires a self-starter who is reliable, punctual, and dedicated to excellence. About the Role: As an Experienced Landscape Spray Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and aesthetics of various landscapes. Your primary responsibility will be to apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to ensure the optimal growth of plants while adhering to safety regulations and environmental standards. You will also be responsible for assessing the condition of landscapes and identifying any pest or disease issues that may arise. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our clients. Ultimately, your work will contribute to creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces that enhance the overall environment. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid pesticide applicator license or certification for the state of Arizona. At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in landscape maintenance, pest control, or a related field. Valid driver's license with clean driving history. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with organic pest control methods and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies. Strong knowledge of local flora, temperatures, and fauna common to the Phoenix area. Previous experience using specific types of spraying equipment. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of landscapes to accurately identify pest infestations, plant diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Prepare and apply chemical treatments (pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers) according to established safety protocols, product labels, and relevant regulations. Mix chemicals accurately and safely, adhering to all safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all treatments applied, including dates, specific locations within the property, types and amounts of chemicals used, and weather conditions. Communicate effectively with clients and account managers to provide updates on landscape conditions, treatment plans, and any observed issues. Ensure all spraying equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated for optimal and safe performance. Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Stay updated on new products, application techniques, and regulatory changes within the pest control industry. Skills: Strong understanding of pest management principles and the safe and effective application of various chemical treatments. Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing plant health issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Mechanical aptitude for the proper operation and basic maintenance of spraying equipment. Ability to read and interpret product labels and safety data sheets (SDS). Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Preferred: Knowledge and experience with organic pest control methods and integrated pest management (IPM). Preferred: Familiarity with local plant species and common pests and diseases in the Phoenix area. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive pay range of $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
