Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC machining centers, as well as manual lathe and milling centers. The ideal candidate will adjust tool and fixture offsets to achieve documented material tolerances, interpret work instructions and product/component drawings, and use precision measuring equipment to ensure parts meet engineering specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining centers and manual lathe and milling centers. Adjust tool and fixture offsets to achieve required material tolerances. Read and interpret work instructions and product/component drawings. Follow work order instructions and accurately record task times. Use precision measuring equipment to check parts in accordance with engineering documents. Maintain a clean and serviced work area and machines. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2-5 years machining experience in moderate to high volume production environments. Experience in setting up, operating, and adjusting both manual and CNC lathe machining. Ability to inspect parts using micrometers, gage pins, thread gages, digital/analog indicators, surface plates, calipers, and other tools. Ability to read and comprehend production Bill of Materials and production orders. Team player, professional, driven to first-time accuracy, and able to work under pressure. Work Environment This position requires working the 3rd shift OR the 1st shift. The work environment includes the use of advanced CNC machining technology and requires adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. Starlight Performing Arts Center is expanding our School Programs in the Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Martinez area. We are looking for teachers with dance and/or musical theater experience who are available for a few classes (during school hours and after school programs) through the end of the year, but are available/interested in an expanded schedule starting January 2026.  Our school programs focus on preschool through elementary school aged children and teach basic intro to dance, cheer, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, and more. You do not have to have a background in or experience teaching all the types of dance or musical theatre listed to apply. Please note that you will be traveling to schools, so you must have a reliable car and be able to pass a background check, get fingerprinted, and pass a TB test (if necessary). Starlight will provide all the materials for classes and reimburse for any of the above requirements. Bonus points if you have ECE credits!
