The Engineering Project Manager we are seeking is initiative-taking who can lead cross-functional project activities by collaborating with product managers, other project managers, engineering technical leaders, and GTM & Launch team leaders in the U.S. and China. The successful candidate is a capable project manager who is a good communicator with a blend of technical knowledge and the ability to collaborate with others to deliver on project milestones from concept to successful customer delivery. You will also help increase product teams’ productivity and efficiency by introducing new processes using modern applications and tools. Responsibilities: Manage existing and new hardware product development project activities by interacting with other program managers in the U.S. and China. Track hardware engineering development activities and mobile application & cloud services software development milestones in each phase of the product development lifecycle. Identify project risks & dependences that could affect delivery commitments and resolve them by collaborating with other functional leaders. Track, measure, and communicate project status to various stakeholders and create a KPI dashboard to reflect projects health. Foster and maintain effective communication between HQ (Irvine) and subsidiary organization’s R&D and program management teams. Requirements Mandarin-English speaking and writing bilingual is necessary. 5+ years of direct experience in hardware + software project management working closely with cross-functional leaders. Prior project management experience leading project teams with a demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects successfully. Written and verbal communication skills to engage with English and Mandarin speaking stakeholders and report product development status for each phase. Experience with project scheduling, management, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, SharePoint and Confluence. Preferred Skills: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field, required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly valued; ScrumMaster is beneficial. We have an immediate opening to join our team supporting our Patient Nutrition Management System called HealthTouch. HealthTouch is used in over 500 hospital diet offices throughout the US. HealthTouch is used to order, document, track, and manage the food ordering and production of all patients’ meals. All meal orders are entered in to the HealthTouch system and because HealthTouch is interfaced with the facilities ADT and OE system, HealthTouch is automatically updated whenever a new patient is admitted, discharged, or transferred within the facility. Patient’s dietary orders are also interface to allow the system to filter out the food items that are not permitted. Tray tracking, nutritional analysis, and order history are standard processes within HealthTouch. Some of the services we provide to our customers are; Travel on site to install and configure systems. Travel to a site to provide operations training. Provide training via phone and web based conferencing. Provide comprehensive phone support with our web based remote access solution or via VPN. Advanced hardware configuration and replacement. This position can sit out of either office locations: Sacramento, CA Pleasanton, CA Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities: Build and maintain relationship with General Contractors and/or Project Owners, Subcontractors and vendors that promote project success. Be the point person from the preconstruction phase to the project closeout phase. Properly delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members and ensure entire project team thoroughly understands project. Facilitate coordination between Field Operations and Preconstruction (preplanning, prefabrication) and actively engage in implementation of project plan. Review construction documents for inconsistencies and develop RFIs. Partner with Contracts to review and interpret contract language, confirm contract scope inclusions and exclusions are conducive to proposal letter, determine timelines for required notices/rights/remedies, and ensure milestones in base bid schedule are achievable as depicted. Early identification of long lead items; ensure all project procurement is properly tracked and released conducive to schedule milestones. Setup project budget with assistance from Estimating to work towards buyouts and early recognition of actual realized costs in labor, material, subcontractor, equipment, and overhead cost. Understand the difference between lump sum contracts and unit price contracts. Verify budget after upload confirming contract, budget, and billing are accurate in Spectrum. Determine project labor tracking strategy and setup labor codes congruent with required labor tracking. Gather hours from Superintendent and Foreman and verify with project team. Monitor and own the overall procurement and construction schedule and escalate any possible impacts by coordinating with the customer, giving notice as required and maintain documentation for such impacts. Collect feedback from field team to present accurate information for CTCs. Create projection for CTCs and provide to Project Executive for review. Prepare accurate cost projections for each project monthly. Stay actively engaged with labor tracking and weekly look ahead schedules to mitigate any potential impacts to the project schedule or financial status. Oversee timely project requirements and documentation including but not limited to submittals, RFI’s, delay notices, potential claims, and extended overheads. Maximize cash flow by balancing project cost with timing of project income, facilitating buy outs according to the schedule and project plan with estimating and project teams, understanding labor and material trends, creating balanced and accurate budget and Schedule of Values, submitting billings, and negotiating change orders.
