Essential Functions: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with COMSEC (Communications Security) experience to support a mission-critical DoD program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure, secure communications, and cryptographic key management, with a deep understanding of DoD COMSEC policies and procedures. Network Engineering Design, implement, and maintain secure LAN/WAN architectures. Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines. COMSEC Operations Manage and safeguard cryptographic keying material using EKMS/KMI systems. Operate and maintain COMSEC equipment (e.g., TACLANE, KG-175, STE). Ensure compliance with NSA and DoD COMSEC policies (e.g., CNSSI 4001, DoDI 8523.01). Conduct periodic COMSEC audits, inventories, and incident reporting. Security & Compliance Implement network security controls in accordance with RMF and STIGs. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and threats. Support accreditation and certification efforts for classified networks. Other duties as assigned or required. Requirements 5+ years of experience in network engineering. 2+ years of hands-on COMSEC experience. Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network platforms. Experience with EKMS/KMI, TACLANE, and other COMSEC devices. Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity and COMSEC regulations. CompTIA Security+ or CCNA certification required. COMSEC Custodian Certification or equivalent training. Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required. Working knowledge of system integration frameworks such as ESBs, API Gateways and  Event Driven Architecture. They will act as a liaison between the USN Fleet representatives, the PEO(CS) LOGIT Aviation Logistics Environment Team, and the contractor development teams.  Essential Functions:  Work with the Fleet in the identification, management, and resolution of software requirements and deficiencies, by creating the appropriate documentation for processing through configuration control boards.  Able to assemble a project plan in order to identify and track schedule and performance risks for the project. Implement, manage, and oversee all activities with the planning and execution of software application from requirements definition to retirement of software following the SDLC software production guidelines. Identify new methods and technologies that meet the requirements of the system and make recommendations for modernization of the system. Participate in requirements elicitation and management meetings, as well as the contractor AGILE ceremonies.  Apply strategies and processes for risk, issue, and opportunity management throughout the acquisition life cycle. Requirements Required: Must have 3 years of project management experience in Logistics IT or IT support of engineering activities or processes. At least 2 years of experience with PLM software. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with technical and non-technical personnel. Prior experience working with government Integrated Project Teams. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. Additional 4 years of experience plus and Associate’s degree may be substituted.  Desired: 2 years of experience with Agile Development methodologies. Familiarity with NAVAIR programs. Prior military experience in the Aviation field. Familiarity with Logistic Data.
