Description

Starland School Of Music in Alameda has been offering quality music lessons for over 30 years to folks of all ages. We are also a retail facility that sells musical instruments and accessories to the general public and our students. The Customer Service Team Member has front line responsibility for creating a warm, friendly environment while effectively and successfully satisfying our customer's needs with our music products. With respect to the school, you will be directly involved in enrolling students, scheduling and working with our excellent group of professional music teachers in ensuring that our students, teachers and Starland are all successful. With respect to the retail store, you will assist with sales, customer service, display and inventory. Requirements: While we are not set on a particular set of qualifications, the successful candidate will likely have a mix of the following: - You have customer service experience....all the better if it is in a retail or school setting. - You generally have a positive attitude and self-starter mentality. - You likely have at least some college education (College Student and/or music student a plus) - You are computer savvy and have experience with POS software. - You enjoy learning, and are open to feedback and growth. - You likely love music and believe that it is a fundamental and vital experience. You may play an instrument yourself, or want to learn. - You are available for weekday evening shifts, and some Saturdays If you're looking for a job to earn a few bucks with the least amount of effort, this is not the right job for you.
