The position requires candidates to possess a valid driver’s license and to have a good driving record as valet functions are part of the position as well. Although previous hotel experience is helpful, it is not necessary. The right attitude and desire to provide service are the key requirements. This part-time, primarily evening, position varies between 24-40 hours/week. Flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is required.

The breakfast is continental plus scrambled eggs, so you will prepare food but not cook it to order. We have two housekeepers -- you will need to manage their schedules, but you will not have to do any room turnovers yourself. You will be responsible for taking reservations, taking payment, interacting with guests as needed, and taking care of any problems that come up. This is hard, detail-oriented work, but it also has its advantages. Our guests are interesting and intelligent people from all over the world and from all walks of life. The nearest supermarket is about 1.5 miles away, so you can walk to it if necessary, but it would be advantageous if you can drive. We have a cat in each of our two buildings, so you will need to feed and care for them.
