Job Summary: G+D has an outstanding opportunity for a Machine Operator in our Lamination Department at our Bolingbrook plant on 1st shift working Monday through Friday 5:30am-1:30pm with required overtime during our peak season. We are searching for a positive and experienced worker looking for a long-term position that enjoys physical work, guiding staff, and ensuring results. The successful candidate will also enjoy taking on new duties as the role progresses. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Prepare, supply, and operate the machine during the production process and monitor relevant stages to ensure that products are manufactured according to established parameters. Understand and execute the entire range of machine functions and operating sequences. Load materials onto machines in the required order and sequence. Read job specifications and previous run data (if available) to set machine parameters and material requirements. Prior to performing maintenance on the machine, ensure proper Lockout/Tag-out procedures have been followed. Meet or exceed job standards for line speeds, scrap rates, and setup times. Load and unload stock efficiently and safely. Maintain department inventory and supplies, ensuring everything is accounted for. Report any maintenance needs to the Maintenance Department promptly.
