Description

This is a full-time 40hrs/week, year-round position, performing maintenance and repair duties for multiple apartments around the Tri-Cities area. Potential for long-term career for the right person. You will be working under the direct supervision of an experienced, long-term maintenance lead. Duties and Responsibilities • Repair and general maintenance work of buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including basic electrical, carpentry, basic plumbing, drywall, painting, basic roofing, and general cleaning. • Position will require landscaping, lawn mowing, sprinkler repair, and painting. • Required to work safely and in compliance with directions and State laws. • Duties will require, at times, heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and frequent standing/bending. • Required to maintain clean working environment. • Flexibility with regard to daily schedule a must. • Willing to train the right person on all facets of the job. Schedule • Hours will vary according to demands of business; typical schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (traditional hours). • Required to respond to emergency maintenance issues during non-traditional hours. Skills, Experience and Qualifications - required • Minimum of six months’ experience in building maintenance and repair or similar construction-type background in at least two of the above listed areas. • Must have own basic tools. • Must have valid Washington State driver’s license, reliable vehicle (preferably a truck) and insurance. • Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, work independently and communicate via phone, text and e-mail while in the field. • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and customer service focused working relationships. • Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks and provide last two employers information for reference check. • Ability to efficiently and safely use various power and hand tools. Skills, Experience and Qualifications - preferred • High school diploma or equivalent education. • Three or more years of experience. • Former military, background as Navy Seabee or Military construction a plus.
