Share**Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic bartender to join our team at Thirsty Isle. As a bartender specializing in beer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our patrons while showcasing your knowledge and passion for hospitality and beers. **Responsibilities:** 1. **Customer Service:** - Greet customers warmly and engage in friendly conversations about beer preferences. - Provide recommendations based on customers' tastes and preferences. - Ensure timely and accurate service to maintain customer satisfaction. - Settle customer transactions timely and correctly. 2. **Beer Knowledge:** - Have an understanding of different beer styles and flavor profiles. - Ability to describe and recommend beers based on customer inquiries. - Stay updated on new arrivals, seasonal offerings, and special releases. 3. **Bartending Skills:** - Prepare and serve a variety of beers on tap and in bottles/cans. - Pour beers with proper technique to ensure optimal taste and presentation. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, floor drains, shelving, taps, barware, and glassware. 4. **Teamwork:** - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations. - Assist in stocking inventory and maintaining par levels of beer supplies. - Work together to handle busy periods and maintain high standards of service. 5. **Regulatory Compliance:** - Adhere to all local and state regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol. - Verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage customers when necessary. - Must be in possession of a valid CA food handlers card and a valid CA RBS Certification through the the ABC. 6. **Upselling and Promotion:** - Promote featured beers, special events, and promotions to increase sales. - Upsell premium or seasonal beers and encourage customers to try new offerings. **Requirements:** - Proven experience as a bartender, preferably with a focus on beer. - Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. - Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy cases of beer and change kegs. - Valid CA Food Handlers Card - Valid RBS Certification from the ABC Interested in applying?
