Child Care Teacher Assistant– Plan and carry out a daily program designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of children. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): • Assist with scheduled program appropriate developmental experiences for a group of children. • Maintain a physical environment conducive to children’s growth and development and promote optimal program functioning. • Consider and provide for the individual needs of each child in relationship to their cultural and socioeconomic background, emotional or physical handicaps, and individual learning style. • Respect the dignity and basic rights of each child. • Help children learn to adapt to and cope with real-life situations; to develop appropriate habits in such activities as eating, dressing, napping, and personal hygiene. • Make daily observations of the health of children, reporting conditions which require attention. • Maintain progress records on the emotional, physical, social and intellectual development of assigned children. • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops, and other career development professional activities. • Assist with public relations and events. • Performs other duties as assigned. We are looking for a Childcare Assistant to join our team and provide support on Sunday mornings and occasionally on other evenings when childcare is needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the operations of the childcare room, including caring for children by interacting with children through games, stories, and play, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing quality care.

We are looking for a regular babysitter/nanny for two kids aged 4 and 1. We’re seeking after-school childcare about three -four times a week, from 3 pm- 6:30 pm. We live in Northampton and responsibilities would include looking after one or both kids depending on the day, occasionally picking them up from daycare, preparing them some dinner, tidying up their bedrooms or helping with kids laundry etc. Basically being the third adult in the house. Must be dog-friendly, have at least two years of childcare experience in the kids' age range, CPR certified, and must have a car! $25-$30 an hour depending on experience.
