This role will report directly to the Sr. Infrastructure & Security Engineer and is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our cloud IT infrastructure, systems, and AWS environments. The Cloud Engineer will work closely with the DevOps and Product Development teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient cloud operations across our production and development environments.  The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $120,000–$130,000 per year. RouteSmart Technologies, Inc. has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the U.S., and base pay will vary based on experience.    This is a hybrid role; candidates must be able to commute to the office in Melville, NY or Columbia, MD. Candidates must reside within 50 miles and be available to work onsite several days per week.   However, we will consider the right candidate for remote work if domiciled in one of the following states: Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, DC, Virginia, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in researching, designing, and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT infrastructure, systems, security components, standards, and services. Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to infrastructure, systems, services, security, and accounts. Continuously monitor the health and performance of the AWS infrastructure, systems, and accounts, identifying issues and implementing solutions for improved efficiency. Analyze components, logs, services, and specific tools as needed. Implement, enforce, and configure security policies, controls, services, identity management, and other security measures to protect from unauthorized access and cyber threats. Stay up-to-date on technology trends and best practices, adapting to evolving cloud IT technologies and management approaches. Communicate effectively and create accurate documentation of designs, configurations, processes, and procedures. Collaborate closely with other team members on projects and tasks, ensuring seamless integration and support for IT initiatives. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Experience supporting federal or enterprise-level IT projects. Training or certifications in database management, data integration, or related areas. Field Installation Technicans will be working with a DGI employee at a client site and may include traveling with the DGI employee to the client site. This position frequently requires long hours, weekend work, out-of-the-area, and overnight travel. Ability to respond to inbound non-technical support inquiries from internal staff, customers and business partners; effectively articulate necessary technical and non-technical information to customers in a simple and concise manner in person, over the telephone or via e-mail. Ability to follow all safety protocols and notify supervisor of safety concerns. Most tasks are performed in a team environment with coworkers acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision so strong initiative is a must. Must be organized and analytical with attention to detail and accuracy of work product; able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Ability to perform administrative tasks (reports, expense reports, etc.). Must maintain professional demeanor in any given situation.
