They mostly sleep through the night (8-10 hours usually) with the exception of a 1am bathroom reminder. Folks who have a car for an outing would be appreciated but it is not required. At 24 hours per week this is a part time position and would therefore not qualify for benefits- medical, dental and life insurance. For those interested in benefits we can build up to a full time schedule. COMPENSATION: The pay is $20.50 per hour for awake hours (8a-midnight), paid by IHSS through the county of Santa Cruz so you'll need to enroll in In-Home Support Services to become a provider. For overnight shifts, you're paid $16.50 per hour to sleep during sleep hours, up to 8 hours a night (midnight-8a). Your IHSS registration expenses will be promptly reimbursed.
