Music Theory for Adults (N. Oakland/Berkeley)

I come across many players who play by ear and sometimes have a hard time conveying their musical ideas but with the most basic theory lesson they were able to immensely expand their capabilities. Each new piece of information became a valuable tool in their arsenal. Being able to quickly identify desired chords or identifying chords by ear, knowing which notes will fit for a melody without having to try every one, having a good idea of what chords will back certain notes or lines, or having simple knowledge of timing and notation allowed them to push their creativity forward at lightning speed, increasing their work flow and saving time. Also, they are no longer in the dark when someone speaks to them in musical terms. Patient, step by step instruction in a studious environment. $25 per hour.
