Strong programming skills in Python and other scripting languages. Familiar with at least one compiled language (C/C++/Rust). Hands-on experience with optical and electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, OSAs, and VNAs. Strong understanding of communication protocols (USB, I2C, SPI, serial comms, etc.). Ability to process, analyze, and visualize test data to drive design decisions and improvements. Comfortable working in Linux environments with command-line tools for scripting and automation. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production Experience with Git and modern software development workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and debugging embedded systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in hardware test and validation. This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary. In addition to the responsibilities below, the DDC Systems Specialist III performs routine and complex technical duties in troubleshooting and repairing of components within building automation field cabinets, sensors, and related controls. They may work under the supervision of a higher-level building automation technician and are expected to maintain all responsibilities and attributes of lower-level technicians.
