Qualifications Qualifications: • Valid CDL Class B license with Airbrake endorsement required • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required • 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years required • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency • Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required. • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Veneer Chip Transport, Inc. VCT is currently looking for safe and reliable Class A CDL truck drivers for our refuse fleet in the Kittitas County area. This team member is responsible for hauling refuse from Wenatchee, Cle Elum and Ellensburg to the Wenatchee Landfill. Scope of Work: Safely and efficiently transport refuse from several transfer station sites in the central Washington area to the Greater Wenatchee Landfill. At the landfill the team member will be required to wear the appropriate PPE attire and follow ALL Waste Management rules while onsite. The team member will back onto a tipper and unhook the trailer from the tractor. The tipper operator will then tip the trailer to unload the refuse. Once empty the VCT team member will connect the tractor and trailer, scale out and depart the landfill for the next dispatched location. ALL dispatch is done via company radio. Responsibilities: Perform DOT inspections to ensure that the equipment is safe to operate. Report any defects to the appropriate department. Follow direction from dispatch. Comply with ALL DOT regulations. (i.e., weight restrictions, rest breaks, etc.) Report any violations or citations immediately.
