Piedmont Moving Systems (www.piedmontmoving.com) has a need for a part time mechanic to help keep our trucks on the road. Safety inspections and simple maintenance repairs are the primary activity. We have 6 straight trucks, 2 tractors and 20 trailers that need some work. Typical repair jobs include: brake adjustments, air leak repairs, oil changes, lighting repairs, etc.. This is a long-haul driving position requiring extended time on the road, with routes covering multiple states. Our ideal candidate is a professional driver who is comfortable being away from home. Our ideal shift would be over the road for 8 days, returning home and taking two to three days off, and then heading back out on the road with a new load. We’re seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and tech-savvy Field Data Collection Driver to support a high-precision mapping initiative for our client’s digital mapping project. In this role, you will operate a company-provided vehicle equipped with a specialized 360-degree camera system to capture street-level imagery. This imagery is used to support global geospatial technology platforms and mapping services, which will power maps and navigation products worldwide.  No mapping experience required – Fully paid training and technical support will be provided.
