About the Role: The Manufacturing Flow Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the proper workflow of the manufacturing team, by providing the necessary support and accountability to maintain a consistent and efficient workflow. Responsible for the physical movement of work order components throughout the facility to ensure that regular production schedules are met and that a steady flow of parts in/out is maintained in every department. This role will also be responsible for electronically issuing and moving components (and work orders) within the E1/RF Smart software to make sure that the system always reflects the true location of the components. The Manufacturing Flow Coordinator will be expected to have a strong understanding of the kitting and staging areas of every department to ensure that parts are delivered to the correct location. This role is vital to the successful pursuit of efficient workflow, on-time shipments, the profitability of the company, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include: Monitors or patrols all work areas in the facility and transports work order components throughout the facility to ensure that regular production schedules are met and that a steady flow of parts coming in and going out is maintained in every department. Place components within the corresponding kitting area (as defined by department supervisor) for the parent work order when appropriate. Electronically issuing and moving components (and work orders) within the E1/RF Smart software systems to make sure that the system always reflects the true location of the components. Able to understand and follow verbal and written instruction, and determine what needs to be moved where, when it needs moved, and what needs to be done once it is delivered to that location. Understand production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements. Help department supervisors maintain organization within pick-up and drop-off locations throughout the course of each workday. Enforces standard work procedures as they pertain to the flow of work within the facility to ensure that guidelines are consistently followed and understood. Loading or unloading materials manually, off or on pallets, benches, shelves, carts, or lifting devices. Performing routine post and pre inspections of machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Reporting to Manager regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards. Remove scrap wooden crates and skids and sheet metal scraps from the building as needed. Empty machine chip hoppers from the Machine shop as needed. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment within the manufacturing facility and outdoor staging areas. Communicates with other departments to coordinate workflow movement and activities within department and/or between departments. Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements.   Track production flow data to help improve efficiency.   Suggests and helps to implement measures to improve production  flow, equipment movement, safety, or efficiency.   Work independently to facilitate workflow within the facility. Interface with all departments as necessary to facilitate positive workflow. Willing and able to work with others as required. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Shift Manager. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by the Senior Production Manager. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor Requirements High School Diploma Valid driver’s license At least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Proven experience as a forklift operator. Completion of forklift driving course, a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of industrial practices as it applies to the fabricated parts used to build Eriez equipment. Capable in the use of computers and associated software as it pertains to moving and issuing parts within the Eriez Manufacturing facilities. Able to read and interpret work order documentation and understand shop layout and staging area locations. Clean Room - Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY: With direction from the Director of Manufacturing, the position is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, cost performance, employee relations in a high-performance work team environment. Input required for capital improvements and budget preparation. Job demands monitoring production performance and implementing processes, procedures, and methods to improve results in all key functional areas. Position is responsible for implementing and maintaining best manufacturing practices and regulatory compliance for all production activities. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) Actively manage the molding processes to verify compliance with customer demands and priorities including, but not limited to: • Champion a culture of safety in the organization. • Conduct interviews make recommendations for hire, and train new plant operators and technicians. • Provide guidance and insight to leadership to develop buy-in to improvement opportunities. • Coordinate production scheduling to ensure customer demand is matched with minimal overtime, inventory, and overall reduced costs. • Mentor shift supervisors as they work to improve in their respective disciplines. • Use data to drive decisions regarding improvement activities, downtime reduction, and quality improvement projects. • Support activity to ensure all proper documentation has been completed for new mold/program qualifications. This is to include IQ/OQ/PQ, APQP, and other qualification activities. • Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction. Provide direction, training, and development as needed. Provide coaching, counseling, or discipline as needed. Recommend disciplinary action to plant manager and review disciplinary action by supervisors for effectiveness and consistency. Work with HR to address employee concerns and issues. • Work with internal and external resources to support the development, installation, and qualification of new automation/equipment. • Support plant in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S with safety, 6 Sigma, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing. • Facilitate the tool room activities, schedule, and priorities. Requirements Direct supervision responsibility of coordinators/shift supervisors including the areas of hiring and promotion recommendations; planning and performance management, and training. Indirectly involved in hiring, performance management, and disciplining decisions regarding other department employees.  Minimum Qualification Standards: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Management. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.  • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools to drive improvement. • Previous work experience of 12 years or more, in a field directly related to this position will be considered equivalent for the above. • Solid understanding in mold construction, plastics processing, materials, assembly, SPC, problem solving and computer software programs is desirable. • Available for 24 hr. assistance if needed.
