In this role, you will play a key part in the accurate transfer, management, and validation of both digital and physical assets. As a member of the global Data I/O team, you will master all Level I workflows and endpoints, ensuring seamless operations and coordination across all locations. File Verification & Processing: Perform verification checks (e.g., Verifier++, MD5 checksums), renaming files and folders, creating proxies, using hot folders, etc. Physical Assets: Track, barcode, log, and store physical assets as they are received, transferred, and shipped, ensuring secure tracking and timely notifications. Disk Space Management: Collaborate with production teams to monitor and manage disk space on servers, preventing delays in file processing. Backup & Archiving: Restore and archive digital files to LTO for backup and ensure they are posted to production servers when required. Continuous Learning: Stay adaptable by learning new tools, procedures, and techniques to improve performance. Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as assigned to fulfill team objectives and ensure smooth operations. Requirements Qualifications Skills & Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Command-line a plus. Experience with Aspera P2P, Aspera Faspex, Aspera Dropbox, Signiant, FTP, and other file transfer protocols. Familiarity with physical media formats (e.g., drives, tapes, LTO, LTFS) and digital asset management. Experience working with network storage and remoting into computers. Understanding of computer networks, including DMZ, VPNs, and firewalls. Basic knowledge of media formats, metadata, XML, audio/video codecs, and their role in data management. Experience: 1+ years in a data operations, IT, or media environment (preferred). Experience with digital asset management and file transfer protocols is a plus. Experience in live or quick-turnaround production environments. Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Attributes Positive Attitude: Proactive, solution-oriented, and resilient when facing challenges.
