The Maintenance position plays a crucial role in our production process utilizing your expert knowledge and hands-on skills to maintain, repair, and/or rebuild complex machinery and equipment including trouble shooting and problem solving of electronic & mechanical systems. Duties Include Planning, fabrication and installation of new wiring for fixtures, equipment, and building systems. Electrical knowledge is a must, will rewire machines. Perform preventative maintenance per work orders. Diagnose problems and develop/implement solutions. Order supplies, discuss scheduling and work order administration with Production Manager. Requirements Must have at least two years of manufacturing electrical experience High school degree or equivalent required. Journeyman's Card required. Have completed a D.O.L. certified apprentice program in an appropriate field, plus (4) four years experience in industrial maintenance operations after apprenticeship or appropriate vocational training Industrial experience with eight (8) years performing industrial maintenance functions. Must possess basic computer skills. Must be able to work independently with written or verbal instructions. Compliance with all Safety, TS 16949, and ISO 9000 requirements. Working knowledge of 5S. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate overhead hoist and any other equipment necessary to perform duties. Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for most of the shift. Some climbing, crawling, and/or kneeling may be required. Valid driver's license needed. Run distillation units by connecting feed, product, and sludge tanks and apply proper amount of heat from boilers and maintain operating hourly logs to insure that unit is operating at peak efficiency Conducts Solvent recovery for the chemical manufacturing production units via a trio of distillation columns Charge and discharge pot stills with appropriate gallon amounts of liquid to run product to specifications Basic knowledge and understanding of Plant Utilities to include but not limited to:  Steam/Condensate, Cooling Water, Chilled Water, Nitrogen, Air Drier and Compressors, and Process Water Basic knowledge and understanding of common plant equipment to include but not limited to:  Condensers, Heat Exchangers, Safety Vents, Conservation Vents, Rupture Discs, Control Valves, Automatic On/Off Valves, Centrifugal Pumps, Diaphragm Pumps, and Various Valves (Ball Valves, Butterfly Valves, Gate Valves). Basic knowledge and understanding of Distillation Columns and their Operations. Ability to learn or previous working experience with ERP Systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards to be able to enter Work Orders for equipment repairs and coordinating with the Maintenance Department. Basic knowledge and understanding of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations is a plus, but not required. Basic knowledge and understanding of the following Control Devices is a plus, but not required:  Steam Stripper for the stripping of solvents from wastewater, Thermal Oxidizer / Ground Flare, and Cryogenic Condenser. Working experience with Safe Work Permits, Hot Work Permits, Line Break Permits, Lock-Out Tag-Out Permits, and Confined Space Permits. Documentation skills and techniques.  Ability to record information in Log Books and record data/information in Batch Sheets. Basic knowledge and understanding in pulling representative samples (liquid samples) from process operations.
