Our Home is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities for approx. 30 employees engaged in all phases of snack food plant operation. The role will also communicate and report on operation schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure safety, production and quality meets specifications. Responsibilities Supervises the processing and packaging operations Schedules personnel in an efficient manner to meet daily production requirements Ensures production of quality products by upholding processing standards Maintains quality standards by ensuring code dates, price, weight, seal integrity and case counts are all correct Executes and monitors tasks to ensure data integrity/accuracy in ERP data system Works in ERP system to address inventory issues, perform inventory transactions and monitor production progress Maintains working knowledge of RedZone, 6-S and Lean Principles Monitors RedZone for machine efficiencies, quality checks and downtime Enters maintenance work orders Identifies quality issues and segregates product and notifies Quality Assurance and Plant Management Responsible for following safety rules and addressing unsafe practices and equipment Involved in all hiring, on-boarding, training, and evaluation of department Evaluates individual performance and trains personnel to ensure standards are met Assists Plant Project Coordinator and Warehouse Managers in month end inventory counting Works closely with Plant Project Coordinator, Production, Warehouse and Plant Managers to ensure proper communication Organizes and leads projects as requested by plant leadership Directs others in completing department projects Responsible for sustaining all CI and Safety initiatives Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF System Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies Regularly complete behavior-based safety observations Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF certification All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action Requirements 3+ years manufacturing related leadership experience Fluency in English and Spanish is strongly desired, but not required Should have knowledge of database software; excel spreadsheet software and word processing software. Manufacturing and process knowledge Lean manufacturing knowledge and skills Working knowledge of workplace safety and GMP regulations Ability to make sound business decisions Keen attention to detail Written and spoken communication skills Ability to evaluate problems, correctly focus the resources and make efficient decisions Strong leadership and effective management skills to direct employees in efficient operations Effectively perform root cause analysis Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
