About the Role We are seeking two experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to join a leading manufacturer with dominant market share and a strong company culture. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting equipment and site property. You will perform adjustments and mechanical/electrical repairs to ensure safe and efficient machine operation. A major focus of this position is hydraulics, pneumatics, and valve troubleshooting/rebuilds related to die cast production equipment. Key Responsibilities Maintain, service, and troubleshoot production equipment and facility systems. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot, replace, and rebuild valves associated with die cast equipment. Perform mechanical and electrical adjustments and repairs to ensure equipment uptime. Follow all safety procedures and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Support continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability and performance. Requirements Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 2–4 years of multi-craft maintenance technician experience, or equivalent training. Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valve troubleshooting, replacement, and rebuilding. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic logic systems. Solid experience troubleshooting electrical systems. Hands-on skills in repairing equipment, fixtures, and related systems. Overview Ship Essential is hiring a builder to own the fastest path from dock → stock → ship. You will live between Inbound and Outbound and turn late launches, pre-sold inventory, and tight timelines into clean, predictable flow. This role blends warehouse leadership, account partnership, industrial engineering, and project management. You will design the system, communicate the plan, and drive the result. This is an in-person role at our Brooklyn warehouse reporting to the NY General Manager. What you will own Plan the flow before the truck arrives For every major inbound, create a written plan for receiving, slotting, and first-ship readiness and share it with Inbound, Outbound, Wholesale, and the brand. Model labor, space, and equipment needs; pre-assign staging, pickable locations, overflow, and move paths. Activate inventory fast Convert arriving units into pickable stock with the fewest touches. Choose slotting that optimizes first-day pick speed for pre-sold and launch SKUs. Stand up “fast lanes” for drops and late arrivals. Run launch command Serve as the single point of coordination during launches and re-stocks. Provide real-time status, constraints, and ship timing to brands and internal teams. Trigger short standups to unblock work and maintain momentum. Engineer the work Map value streams and remove waste across dock, intake, putaway, replenishment, and pick. Use time studies, standard work, and WIP caps to reduce touches per unit and queue time. Apply simple, proven tools: 5S for layout, kanban for replenishment, SMED-style setups for pack lines, Little’s Law to size WIP and staffing. In this position you will be trained to perform electrical system modifications on military aircraft. The immediate need will be as a member of our T6 modification team, however other airframes and modifications may be added as the opportunities arise. The ideal person for this role would have outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and integrity.
